Resumo do trabalho

Data from the Internet of Things (IoT) enables the design of new business models and services that can improve user experience and satisfaction. These data also serve as important information sources for many areas, including disaster management, bio-surveillance, smart cities, and smart health, among others. However, in this scenario, we also collect personal data, raising new challenges related to data privacy protection (identification, localization and tracking, profiling, and linkage, among others). Therefore, the primary research aims to develop the Fog of Things and Personal Data Store (FoT-PDS) approach for safeguarding personal data privacy in the Fog of Things (FoT). This user-centered approach focuses on addressing privacy issues by decentralizing data processing and is guided by four basic principles: returning data control to users, ensuring transparency in data processing, raising awareness of privacy risks, and fostering trust in service providers. Additionally, the proposal is intended to comply with the General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) principles.
