An Edge-Cloud Continuum integrates edge and cloud resources to provide a flexible and scalable infrastructure. This paradigm can minimize latency by processing data closer to the source at the edge while leveraging the vast computational power of the cloud for more intensive tasks. In this context, module application placement requires strategic allocation plans that align user demands with infrastructure constraints, aiming for efficient resource use. However, the dynamic and heterogeneous nature of these environments poses significant challenges to resource allocation. This work proposes an innovative SLA-aware strategy for modular application placement, designed to dynamically prioritize tasks based on urgency, workload fluctuations, and available resources. By optimizing resource use, minimizing SLA violations, and implementing strategies to optimize power consumption, this strategy aims to enhance both Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) for end-users. Additionally, the proposed approach aims to adaptively manage resources in real-time, ensuring robust performance even under varying conditions. The findings from this research will contribute to the development of more resilient and efficient edge-cloud systems.
